OGON Prosthetic Leg Cover

OGON is an artificial device covers for those who have lost a lower limb to disease or injury. OGON means ‘The Fire’ in English, is the main colour used in the design of OGON. By using OGON, it can help to improve the quality life of a prosthetic user for the rest of their life and set confidence to create looks that are authentic to user.
Objective
- Help to erase the starkness of the standard artificial prosthesis with covers that clip around the prosthesis using an endless array of colours and designs.
- A chance to express prosthetics leg user by shifting focus from physical loss to new found beauty.
- Propose a design that focus on design instead of disability.
Design Statement
To design a lower limb prosthetics leg cover for prosthetics user.

Design Objective
To create a design that erase the starkness of the standard artificial prosthetics so that they can shift focus from disability to new found beauty with the subject matter ‘OGON’.

Design Concept
OGON’s shape is based on a person’s lower limb surviving leg shape. I choose a firefighter as a target audience.
